Canada Geese on the Angus Creek Estuary

Two kilometres of very well-maintained, level trails are provided in Porpoise Bay Provincial Park in Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast.

The trail system of easy walks centres on Angus Creek, which flows through the park.

The main trail leads to the estuary, which affords excellent views of Sechelt Inlet and the waterfowl inhabiting the estuary.

Other trails in the park wind beneath large fir, cedar, hemlock and maple trees. In late fall there is a large salmon spawn here, with fish viewing being a major attraction.

From Sechelt turn north off Highway 101 at the traffic light on Wharf Road. After 600 metres turn right onto East Porpoise Bay Road and proceed another 4 kilometres to the park entrance along Sechelt Inlet Road.

Guide and Map: The local guide Trails of The Lower Sunshine Coast is produced by the Sunshine Coast Forest District - available at Visitor Info Centres on the Sunshine Coast.
