Hatley Castle at Royal Roads University, Colwood |
Originally one of four large farms established by the Hudson's Bay Company in the 1850's to supply the steadily increasing population of Fort Victoria, Colwood is now itself a thriving satellite city in the largely residential area of the Western Communities.

Today, Colwood is one of the most rapidly growing municipalities in the greater Victoria area, with a variety of recreational opportunities and facilities.

Access to Fisgard Lighthouse is through the large grounds of Fort Rodd Hill.
